Q: How do I determine what style to order?
A: They are identifying marks on the back of the head.
The old body style will give clues. Example: A.M. would need a German body fully articulated. Bru J would need a gusseted French body.
Q: How do I measure my doll for a leather body?
A: First, determine the age of your doll. Baby, toddler, child or lady.
Second, measure the height of the head including neck.
Baby and Toddler = 4 heads tall. Child = 5 heads tall. Lady = 6 heads tall. Example: 5' Lady Grace - head and neck = 12". You would order a 48" body. (60" finished doll).
Third, measure the shoulder plate, shoulder to shoulder and front to back. Measuring the shoulder from the bottom of the plate.
Forth, if you have bisque or composition arms and legs, measure their length and distance around where the leather connects to the
limbs.
Fifth, if you have the old body that has the correct proportions measure from shoulder to heel.
Q: If I have an old body that needs replaced can I send it to you for a reproduction?
A: Yes, we specialize in custom work. Send us the old body and we'll return it with your new body.
Q: How long will it take to get my order?
A: We custom make every body especially for you and make every effort to get your order on its way with the best workmanship possible!
Except to receive your order in 3 to 6 weeks, some custom bodies may take longer.
